OUR HISTORY
Our Journey
New Life Harvest Church began in 1996 following a divine leading from God. What started as simple lunchtime fellowship meetings at Speke Hotel soon grew into a vibrant spiritual movement.
After a season of prayer and seeking God’s direction, the first official church service was held on 22nd December 1997, under the leadership of Pastors Charles Nsubuga, Charles Tumwine, Godfrey Mukasa, and other ministers whose hearts were stirred for God’s work.
In the early years, God focused on building a strong spiritual foundation within the church—bringing healing, restoring hope, and strengthening families.
From a humble beginning of about 30 members, the church has grown to nearly 300 members today, with multiple churches planted across Uganda and extending into other African nations.
We continue to see growth through partnerships, church planting, and leaders joining under the spiritual covering and oversight of New Life Harvest Church International.

Education Sector
Education & Community Impact
We have a vision of building schools which will benefit the under – privileged children, by offering them with a free or subsidized education.
Since most churches are filled with children whose parents cannot afford school fees, we have a plan of establishing both a primary, secondly and a tertiary school which will offer an opportunity to those people that might have dropped out of school.
We intend to train people in life skills that will in the end create jobs and alleviate poverty and the dependency syndrome.
Our Leadership
Apostle Charles Tumwine
Apostle Charles Tumwine is a devoted servant of God with a calling to raise and lead followers of Jesus Christ. Born on the East Coast of Africa, he responded to God’s call at an early age.
He trained academically as an economist before fully committing to ministry. He received mentorship and spiritual guidance from Rubaga Miracle Centre under Evangelist Robert Kayanja.
Apostle Charles is passionate about equipping believers for the work of ministry and carries a strong apostolic mandate. He has traveled widely, ministering and strengthening churches.
He is married to Grace, and together they are raising a family of three children, alongside many spiritual sons and daughters.
